Several research and innovation projects on urban logistics funded by Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 gathered together at TRA2024 in Dublin, Ireland. The session invited representatives from the URBANE, DISCO, SENATOR, UNCHAIN, DECARBOMILE, GREEN-LOG, and LEAD project.

Key takeaways from the session are:

  • Implementing innovative urban logistics solutions can play a key role in achieving climate action goals of European cities;
  • collaboration between public and private sectors is key to deliver expected impacts from those innovative solutions;
  • Increased use of light logistics vehicles and cargo bikes require micro-hubs in city centre areas;
