On October 20th from 15:30 to 17:00 we will host an (online) session on the recently opened Connecting Europe Facility Transport Call (more information). The deadline for submission of proposals is 19 of January 2022.
CEF 2 call is primarily supporting infrastructure development so Ports, Hubs and Terminals operators can be primary beneficiaries. Moreover, supporting investments in low/zero emissions infrastructures (not vehicles) is also possible and could be suitable for any company investing in those assets (including transportation companies, manufacturers, etc.). Implementation of Safe and Secure Truck Parking Areas is also supported. Additionally, there is a chapter on Innovation / IT and Automation that could be suitable for companies investments adaptations to embrace new regulation such as Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI), support a better digital interoperability of infrastructure and systems and automation.
During this session, Mr. Jensen Morten, Head of Unit at CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency will provide an overview of the Call and we will be able to exchange with him.
Additionally, experienced ALICE members in supporting proposals preparations for these calls Log@Sea (Circle Group), PTS CLAS and FIT consulting will share concrete opportunities and examples of activities that could be funded for the different type of stakeholders within ALICE membership.

Alexio Picco. Managing director at Circle. Alexio will share the opportunities associated with Innovation/IT and Automation associated with Ports, Hubs and Terminals, Motorways of the Sea and implementation of eFTI. He will particularly address opportunities for freight transport and logistics companies in these domains
Giuseppe Siciliano and Francesco Barontini, Principals at PTS Clas. They will focus on opportunities and examples associated with Ports, Hubs and Terminals infrastructures investments enhancing performance and within the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility.
Carlo Vaghi. Scientific Director at FIT consulting. Carlo will present the example of PASS4CORE project on Safe and Secure Truck Parking Areas in which public companies but also private transportation and logistics service providers were beneficiaries.
