MultiRELOAD User Forum Meeting: Get engaged!

Thursday, November 2nd, 2023

Alice is working on the MultiRELOAD project since September 2023 and is co-organizing with Prodanube and project partners a User Forum Meeting during the Danube Ports Days on 23/24 November in Vienna (find here the agenda)

Registration to the Danube Ports Days 2023

The MultiRELOAD project develops port solutions for efficient, effective, and sustainable multimodality through 7 innovative demonstrators. Inland ports are key for multimodal transport chains, for both continental and maritime transport. There are 225 inland ports in Europe, many of which act as key multi-modal logistics and economic hubs near urban nodes, providing mobility infrastructure and smart solutions for passengers and freight. MultiRELOAD enhances the collaboration between freight nodes in Europe to jointly test innovations and create favourable market conditions for multimodal freight transport solutions.

What is the objective of the User Forum Meeting?

The User Forum aims at getting practioners’ views to validate presented demonstrators, thus ensuring the market-readiness of solution.

Who can contribute?

We would like to invite our members to participate and have their say on the user forum: go through the 3 demonstrators below focusing on IWT and digitalization, and select one or two potential interests to take part in this exciting initiative. If you are interested, fill in the contact form and indicate the most relevant demonstrator according to your preference. Then we will reach out!

Demo A2: Multimodal transport of bulk cargo on the Danube by TTS

  • Designing a test pilot for the multimodal transport of bulk cargo on the Danube, using TTS as an example
  • Proving the feasibility of bulk cargo transports using multimodal containers can contribute to greatly increasing multimodality. (Demonstrator description 1 pager

Demo B4: Multimodal Node Digital Twin by Pro develop

  • The development of a digital twin platform of a port (logistic multimodal hub) as central visualization point for data from diverse sources in ports, city authorities and MultiRELOAD Demos. (Demonstrator description 1 pager)

Demo B5: MultiRELOAD Corridor Digital Service by Ports of Switzerland

  • Roll out of an open and neutral multi-port community system (RPIS) in the hinterland, integrating all modes of transport
  • Set up collaborations and interfaces for real-time data exchange with other RIS & traffic management systems and local port community systems along the Rhine-Alpine and Rhine-Danube corridors. (Demonstrator description 1 pager
