2Zero workshop on the SRIA revision – workshop for freight operators

Tuesday, January 17th, 2023

ALICE is one of the supporting platforms of the 2Zero, Towards zero emission road transport partnership, a co-programmed partnership launched by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe Programme.

The European Commission allocated approximately € 200 million in 2021/2022 for the research & innovation on hydrogen and electric vehicles (e.g. NEXTeTRUCK project) and new projects on HDV long haul starting soon. The European Commission is more and more keen on our holistic approach in electric and hydrogen vehicles research as ALICE calls for. Therefore, the involvement of logistics users and companies is strategically relevant for the partnership and a great opportunity for companies interested in participating in this innovation projects.

2Zero will launch the revision of its Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) on the 26th of January (incluye link al evento en nuestra web). This is a great occasion for our sector to drive the change and support defining the agenda for the rest of the partnership duration.

The partnership SRIA is the guiding document for identifying future research and innovation priorities to be funded as part of the programme. Focusing on pre-competitive research and innovation activities, the partnership aims at:

  • Supporting the transition towards a carbon neutral road transport system in Europe
  • Ensure EU competitiveness
  • Support an EU technology leadership in the fields covered by the partnership
  • Contribute to improve the health and wellbeing of EU citizens

As part of a general review exercise, the 2Zero partnership, together with ALICE, is organising a dedicated workshop with selected stakeholders to discuss more in details the needs and expectations from freight transport operators and logistics users.

Please note that this workshop is on-invitation only. For more information, contact Fernando Liesa (fliesa@etp-alice.eu)
