Low emission fuel and energy solutions have a key role in delivering a decarbonized freight transport and logistics sector and the EU Green Deal ambition. OEMs, suppliers and buyers of road freight transport services play a central role in the uptake of energy solutions but also face barriers.
After our first webinar in June 2020 (link), we will go deeper on ALICE members vision, approach and learnings on different fuels and alternatives with a focus on the regional and long haul freight transport. Speakers will share their views and development pathways in the short, medium and long term answering to the questions:
The webinar is planned for 90 min. After that time we will arrange a panel discussion with the speakers and we will organize and interactive session to get participants views as input for our next steps.
This builds on the ALICE Roadmap for Zero Emissions Logistics 2050, the activities within the ALICE Sustainable Logistics Supply Chains Thematic Group in partnership with Smart Freight Center.
Francois Regis will give a short introduction on the subject and ALICE positioning and proposal to achieve Climate objectives in an affordable way.
Andrea will propose a framework and approach to be followed on alternative fuels. Different fuels (and intermodality) could be best suited in different corridors. Andrea will bring this idea to the table in the European context.
Graham will share how green, greening and decarbonization is already a good and growing business and what is possible today with a focus on HVO. He will also explain the limitations (availability) and the need to work on alternatives.
Matteo will share the company vision on transport (including the intermodal dimension) and fuels and the determination of the company with a zoom on practical experiences on bio-LNG and prospects for the future.
Pieter will bring his (company) vision on transport and fuels and will zoom on the practical test of Colruyt hydrogen vehicle. Pieter will also share his company look to the future.
All ALICE members and partners of GLEC are invited to attend.
