Freight transport & logistics still face various problems in terms of IT system silos that hamper the creation of well connected and holistic supply chains. Nevertheless, a number of solutions have been developed that streamline services and improve businesses via communication standards. In this webinar we will welcome Dr. Hanane Becha, who will shed more light on the container shipping industry.
The Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA) is an industry standards body that sets technological foundations for interoperable IT solutions in a collaborative setting among shipping lines such as MSC, MAERSK, CMA CGM etc. Since container shipping is not a regional matter, global electronic business standards, e-business and trade facilitation will be also covered from the UN/CEFACT perspective. UN/CEFACT is a subsidiary of the intergovernmental body of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.
The objective of this webinar is to convey the most recent developments to ALICE members with regard to standards, digital trade, harmonization, collaboration and interoperability. More specifically, Dr. Becha will discuss the most recent DCSA developments and UN/CEFACT processes as well as deliverables related to the cross-industry supply chain track & trace.
