Cities are rethinking how people and goods move. Electrification, automation, artificial intelligence, mobility data and new delivery models are transforming urban transport, while congestion, climate targets and limited public space are increasing pressure on cities to act.
These challenges will be at the centre of Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress 2026, taking place from 3 to 5 November in Barcelona. Co-organised by Fira Barcelona and EIT Urban Mobility, the event brings together city authorities, transport operators, technology providers, researchers and industry leaders working to deliver cleaner, safer and more inclusive urban mobility systems.
Held alongside Smart City Expo World Congress, Tomorrow.Mobility offers access to a wider international urban innovation ecosystem. Across the co-located events, more than 27,000 attendees, 1,100 exhibitors, 600 speakers and representatives of around 1,000 cities are expected to gather in Barcelona. Tomorrow.Mobility itself will welcome thousands of mobility professionals, more than 200 exhibitors and over 240 speakers from across the world.

Urban freight can no longer be treated separately from mobility and city planning. Deliveries compete for road and curbside space, depend on energy and digital infrastructure, and directly affect congestion, emissions, safety and quality of life.
The Tomorrow.Mobility programme reflects this growing connection between freight, mobility and the wider urban system. Dedicated topics will examine how cities and logistics operators can accelerate zero-emission freight through micro-hubs, consolidation centres, cargo bikes and digital tools while balancing operational efficiency with regulation and urban liveability.
The programme will also explore how urban logistics systems can become more resilient, adapting supply chains to disruption while ensuring reliable and sustainable last-mile delivery. These discussions are especially relevant as cities seek to integrate freight into mobility plans, public-space strategies and climate-neutrality objectives.
Tomorrow.Mobility will address the technologies, policies and operational models reshaping city transport.
Sessions on mobility data will examine how public and private actors can share and reuse information while maintaining trust, control and public value. Discussions on intelligent transport systems, mapping, routing and digital infrastructure will show how cities can better coordinate passenger and freight flows.
Electrification will also be a major focus, including zero-emission logistics, batteries, charging infrastructure and the integration of ports and cities. Other programme areas will cover autonomous vehicles, demand-responsive transport, multimodality, smart transport hubs, road safety and low-emission zones.
These themes connect closely with ALICE priorities in urban logistics, digitalisation, automation, multimodal transport and zero-emission freight. They also demonstrate that improving urban logistics requires more than new vehicles: cities need interoperable data, appropriate infrastructure, workable regulations and stronger cooperation with logistics operators.
Tomorrow.Mobility combines policy and industry discussions with an international exhibition, side events and practical demonstrations.
The Expo will present market-ready mobility technologies and implemented projects to city representatives, transport professionals and decision-makers. The Mobility Playground will provide a closer look at startups, emerging technologies and live demonstrations, while side events will allow participants to explore specific urban challenges in more focused formats.
Attendees can also access the wider Smart City Expo programme, covering enabling technologies, energy and environment, governance, infrastructure, inclusion and the blue economy. Urban Innovation Tours will offer opportunities to explore how Barcelona applies smart-city principles in practice, including tours focused on mobility systems, urban data, sensors, artificial intelligence and the city’s innovation ecosystem.
