About Urban Logistics Innovation Day 2024:

Urban logistics plays an important role in cities. Urbanisation, business activities and change of lifestyles have increased demands on urban logistics, resulting in negative impacts, such as pollution and noise, traffic safety issues, congestion etc. To make urban freight transport more sustainable while ensure quality of life of citizens is a challenge for many cities. Business and logistics operators also face challenges to increase efficiency and meet customers’ demand. Innovation plays an important role in decarbonising urban freight transport and enable sustainable urban logistics. This event aims to bring innovation practitioners in urban logistics sector (ALICE members) and forward-think cities (POLIS members) to:

  • To promote use of innovative technologies (e.g. Physical Internet) to help cities and business to meet their sustainable goals
  • To discuss trends and challenges and foster potential opportunities for cooperation
  • To facilitate dialogue between public and private sectors for enabling policy framework toward zero emission urban freight.

Format:

The in-person event will consist of keynote speeches, presentations, penal discussions, group excise and roundtable discussions.

The second edition of Urban Logistics Innovation Day, co-organized by POLIS and ALICE will take place on June 4th 2024 in Brussels.
    ALICE and POLIS are organizing this meeting in collaboration with the ACEA and EGUM members. We may need to share the data you have provided in the registration with all EGUM members . We inform you that other participants may get access to your name and may contact you in private. ALICE and POLIS will use the data provided for the organization and follow up of the meeting as well as to keep your contact details for future events.
