A pragmatic approach to innovation

Geopost’s innovation agenda is strongly aligned with ALICE’s mission to accelerate the transition towards a more resilient, sustainable, and interconnected freight transport system. The company places particular emphasis on developing scalable innovations that can be integrated into operational practice after project completion.

Key areas of expertise and strategic focus include:

  • Deployment of electric vehicle fleets

Commitment to sustainability

Geopost is the first global delivery company to have its Net Zero by 2040 roadmap validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This commitment places the company at the forefront of climate action in the logistics sector and reflects its ambition to become an international reference in sustainable delivery.

Strategic engagement with ALICE

Through its membership in ALICE, Geopost aims to:

  • Engage in EU-funded research and innovation projects, including Horizon Europe

The company has also expressed interest in participating in ALICE’s Liaison Programme and contributing to the Knowledge Platform, ALICE EXPRESS, and the Logistics Innovation Awards.

Looking ahead

In the short term, Geopost aims to be actively included in relevant European projects and working groups. Its longer-term vision is to become one of Europe’s most innovative delivery companies, launching large-scale, pragmatic projects that transition seamlessly from experimentation to implementation.

Sebastien Lacombe (Geopost) notes: “We do not pursue innovation for the sake of innovation – we pursue innovation that becomes part of our everyday operations.”

ALICE looks forward to working closely with Geopost to co-create the future of logistics, support impactful innovation, and advance Europe’s strategic transport objectives.
