Context and Background
The future of logistics and mobility hinges on our ability to collect, share, and act on meaningful data. The “Find Space for Mobility & Logistics Data” webinar series, initiated by ALICE, brings together thought leaders, innovators, and practitioners to explore how digital tools, data spaces, and interoperable frameworks can unlock the full potential of logistics and urban freight. With a special focus on collaboration and real-world applications, this series aims to foster shared understanding and actionable insights for the future of data-driven mobility and logistics.
Data spaces are emerging as a cornerstone of this transformation. By creating secure, decentralised environments where organisations can exchange data while maintaining control over their assets, data spaces enable collaboration without compromising sovereignty. These ecosystems facilitate interoperability across diverse stakeholders (from logistics providers and urban planners to technology developers), ensuring that data flows seamlessly and meaningfully. This webinar will delve into the practical applications of data spaces in logistics and mobility in Vitoria Gasteiz, Spain.
Through case studies and expert insights from Mobility LAB Vitoria Gasteiz and Smart Ways to Antwerp, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how data spaces and digital tools can drive sustainable urban mobility/logistics solutions through fostering innovation and improving operational efficiency.
The webinar will conclude with a presentation of the newly launched ALICE Digital Urban Freight community, which aims to contribute to operational digitalisation of urban freight by gathering the diverse experiences of practitioners.
