CRISTAL WORKSHOP

This workshop, organised in the frame of the CRISTAL project,Ā  aims to explore and challenge how Digital TwinsĀ and theĀ Synchromodal Corridor Management System (SCMS)Ā can reshape the future of multimodal logistics in Europe. Building on insights from the CRISTAL project and stakeholder feedback, the session will:Ā 

  • Stimulate debateĀ on theĀ business value, readiness, challenges, and risksĀ of deploying Digital Twins in inland waterways and multimodal corridors.Ā Ā 
  • Dive into the SCMS functionalities, assessing how they can support dynamic decision-making, disruption response, and modal shift optimization.Ā 
  • Identify business drivers and bottlenecks, including governance, data-sharing, operational integration, and commercial viability.Ā 
  • Engage stakeholders interactivelyĀ through live polling, debate, and provocations, to address business cases priorities and needs.Ā 

This session will be highly participatory and challenge-driven, aimed at tackling digitalization, sustainability pressure, and lack of IWT reliability issues regarding business perspectives and needs.
