Breda University of Applied Sciences joins ALICE to advance smart, sustainable and digitally driven logistics

ALICE is pleased to welcome Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas), a specialist international higher education and research institute with a strong focus on logistics, mobility, digital transformation and urban innovation. Based on a green, safe and compact campus in Breda, the Netherlands, BUas educates around 7,000 students across professional and academic bachelor’s and master’s programmes.

Within the Academy for Built Environment and Logistics (ABEL), BUas conducts applied research in two strategic areas: Smart Cities & Logistics and Driving Digital Transformation. These themes integrate sustainable transitions and meaningful AI into the future of supply chains, addressing real-world challenges in mobility, urban development and logistics innovation.

BUas operates national and international learning communities where students, lecturers, researchers and industry partners collaborate on impactful projects, applied research and knowledge development. With expertise spanning logistics, built environment, tourism, data science, hospitality and creative technologies, the university is committed to preparing future professionals for a rapidly changing world.

Through its membership in ALICE, BUas aims to strengthen cooperation with European logistics stakeholders, contribute research-based insights, and support the development of smart, sustainable and digitally interconnected supply chains.
