The ALICE General Assembly was held on 2 February 2026 in a hybrid format, combining an in-person event at the Tangla Hotel in Brussels with an online participation. The ALICE members approved the 2026 Work Plan and Budget and elected some new leaders to guide its strategic direction.
With 146 participants (103 in person and 43 online) the General Assembly brought members together to foster transparent dialogue and to align our collective efforts toward a more innovative, sustainable and resilient logistics landscape that strengthens European competitiveness. .
The following decisions were approved:
Johan Leveque brings deep technical and operational expertise to his new role as ALICE Vice-Chair. As Director of Research and Development at La Poste Group, he has spearheaded significant innovations in AI and logistics optimisation, most notably the design and implementation of a nationwide cargo-bike urban delivery network recognised by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition.
Johan’s academic and professional credentials are equally impressive. Having done a PhD in mathematics applied to supply chain management, he is an Affiliate Researcher at the Georgia Tech Physical Internet Lab, and has co-founded U-ride and CMC Investments, bridging urban logistics and venture innovation. His stated priorities as Vice-Chair include accelerating Physical Internet adoption, supporting collaborative sustainability practices, and aligning ALICE’s strategies with the large-scale deployment of innovations.
Marianna Levtov has been confirmed as Co-Chair of ALICE TG3 “Systems & Technologies for Interconnected Logistics”. She previously held this role from 2024 to 2025. This re-election demonstrates the confidence of the members in her ability to drive the development of systemic, interoperable digital solutions that are aligned with European and international policy frameworks.
A leading voice in logistics digitalisation, data governance, and smart container standards, Marianna holds a PhD in Business and Management. She is Convenor of ISO TC 104 SC4 WG2 and Vice President of the Smart Container Alliance, demonstrating her influence in technical and institutional ecosystems alike.
At Hoopo Systems, she establishes long-term strategic alliances by connecting industry stakeholders, regulators, and research partners. Her TG3 mandate focuses on strengthening the integration of standardisation, industrial deployment and ALICE’s innovation roadmap, ensuring operational and policy coherence across Europe’s logistics systems.
