PRESS RELEASE

Brussels, 28 August 2026  – ALICE, the Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe, has appointed Andrea Condotta, ALICE Vice-Chair and Public Affairs, Sustainability & Innovation Director at Gruber Logistics, as Chair for the remaining period of the current Board mandate, until June 2027.

Recognised by the European Commission as the European Technology Platform for logistics, ALICE plays an important role in enhancing innovation in freight transport, logistics and supply chains in Europe. ALICE brings together over 220 companies, research centres, public authorities and other stakeholders to define common research and innovation priorities, support collaborative projects, and accelerate the deployment of solutions for zero-emission, automated, efficient and resilient logistics.

Andrea Condotta succeeds François-Régis Le Tourneau, outgoing Chair of ALICE and former Vice President, Corporate Responsibility “L’Oréal for the Future” programme, who has decided to withdraw from the role. The appointment was endorsed by ALICE members during the General Assembly on 24 August 2026 and ensures continuity in the ALICE’s work at an important moment for European logistics research and innovation.

With the next Multiannual Financial Framework starting in 2028 and preparations for the future EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, FP10, gaining momentum, ALICE will continue to represent the logistics and supply chain innovation community in key European discussions and fora. Andrea Condotta’s combined experience in logistics, public affairs, sustainability and innovation will support ALICE’s contribution to shaping future priorities for a competitive, resilient and net zero freight transport and logistics system in Europe.

Andrea Condotta, Chair of ALICE and Public Affairs, Sustainability & Innovation Director at Gruber Logistics, said:

“ALICE has a key role in ensuring that logistics innovation supports Europe’s competitiveness, resilience and climate objectives. I am honoured to take on this responsibility and look forward to working closely with our members, the Board and the Secretariat to strengthen our collective contribution to EU research and innovation priorities.”

François-Régis Le Tourneau, outgoing Chair of ALICE and former Vice President, Corporate Responsibility “L’Oréal for the Future” programme, said:

“It has been a privilege to serve as Chair of ALICE for 7 years and to contribute to the development of such a committed and collaborative community. I would like to thank the Board, the Secretariat and all members for their trust and engagement over the past years. Andrea knows ALICE well and brings valuable experience in logistics, sustainability and innovation. I am confident he will provide the continuity and leadership needed for the period ahead.”

Fernando Liesa, ALICE Secretary General, said:

“On behalf of the ALICE Secretariat, I would like to sincerely thank François-Régis for his outstanding contribution, leadership and commitment. He has played an important role in strengthening ALICE’s growth, spirit and strategic positioning. Andrea’s appointment provides continuity and clear direction as we work with our members to shape the next generation of European logistics research and innovation priorities.”

ALICE looks forward to continuing its collaboration with François-Régis Le Tourneau and to working closely with Andrea Condotta, the Board and all members during the remaining period of the current mandate.
