[TG3 – AI & DT Webinar series #7] Driving Strategic Vision Through Real-World Use Cases

Tuesday, March 10th, 2026

This webinar provides an in‑depth look at how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the logistics sector through three real-world applications developed by VICOMTECH. The main focus will be on the 5G‑LOGINNOV project, which has introduced next‑generation AI and machine-learning solutions to enhance safety, traceability, and process efficiency in major European ports. Technologies covered include automated container identification, multi‑camera visual analytics, damage detection algorithms, and real-time decision support enabled by edge infrastructures and 5G connectivity.
Two additional use cases will showcase the versatility and impact of AI across diverse logistics environments:
  • ISMASS: a 3D reconstruction and computer‑vision solution for accurate volume estimation of biomass stocks in port storage areas, helping operators overcome discrepancies between theoretical and actual inventory levels.
  • RESPOND‑A: an advanced 2D/3D geospatial and augmented-reality platform designed to support first responders during emergencies such as wildfires, floods, and industrial accidents, integrating geospatial data, 5G communications, and precise localisation systems.
In addition to presenting the three use cases, the session will provide practical insights on how Artificial Intelligence technologies can be progressively integrated into day‑to‑day logistics operations. Building on the examples showcased, the webinar will highlight key considerations, enabling conditions, and practical elements that support the adoption of AI solutions in real operational environments, helping organisations explore realistic and incremental paths toward implementation.
