“AEOLIX is excited to meet and engage with businesses interested in ensuring end-to-end visibility and interoperability in their supply chain”
Lina Konstantinopoulou, Head of Transport and Logistics, Innovation and Deployment Department, ERTICO – ITS Europe and coordinator of the AEOLIX project
The goal of AEOLIX is to overcome today’s fragmentation and lack of connectivity around ICT-based systems for logistics decision making. Despite the recent investments in ERP, TMS and Port community systems, information gaps remain due to the disparate and passive nature of data. Each logistics player is currently required to log into each system separately to look for information or manually insert data into different formats.
AEOLIX is developing a cloud-based, multi-enterprise “many-to-many” network which captures and streams data in real-time, and automatically translates “data format” from different IT systems giving companies the ability to rapidly respond to issues through a customised dashboard.
The AEOLIX network enhances end-to end visibility across the supply chain supporting the workflow across companies/authorities. It facilitates the automation of data flow and the interaction with the legacy systems and interoperability in line with standards and EU policy rules. AEOLIX also provides extra services that support monitoring of carbon footprint of logistics operations, estimated time of arrival at hubs or terminals, customs related services, electronic transport documents. These services further result in reduced delays, costs, and enable optimal load factors for shippers and transport operators.
Eleven AEOLIX Living Labs covering the nine TEN-T corridors are currently testing and validating the benefits of the AEOLIX platform applied to their specific logistics related business issues.
AEOLIX @ TRA 2018
At TRA 2018 in Vienna, Austria, AEOLIX will showcase its data sharing platform for end-to-end visibility in the logistics sector in a series of events including presentations at the ALICE booth and European Commission booth and paper presentations during the conference sessions.
At the ALICE booth, AEOLIX will also have a project poster and video representing the AEOLIX solution shown at the AEOLIX TestFest in Delft in October 2017. AEOLIX will be presented in ALICE Booth the following days:
