DHL Norway
I have worked in the logistics industry for over 40 years, mainly in local distribution. I started with domestic transport in Norway at Tollpost-Globe (Postnord) with a focus on route planning to get the most out of the vehicles and couriers. Good route planning will also lead to less stress among couriers. The last 20 years with international express - five years at TNT (FedEx) focusing on how we can get the most out of our service partners by organizing the collaboration better. We have improved this at DHL Express, and recently, as we see many restrictions in urban areas, urban logistics has become increasingly important, both for the logistics business and the local community. DHL Express is participating in the Shift2Zero project to lead the way in sustainable urban transport. We see many benefits in allowing small electric vehicles to access restricted areas and are willing to accept lower speeds to meet the needs of pedestrians to keep the areas safe.
