At the core of its approach is a unique digital identity for each physical item. Next Horizon serialises individual products using GS1 SGTIN and creates a Digital Product Passport that follows the item throughout its lifecycle. The same identity connects information generated across freight forwarding, transport, customs, warehousing, e-commerce and last-mile delivery, helping overcome fragmented data across different supply chain systems.
The Digital Product Passport combines product, operational, environmental and compliance information in a traceable record. Beyond delivery, it can continue supporting activities such as returns, repair, resale, take-back and recycling, providing continuity of information throughout the product lifecycle.
Next Horizon also supports companies in preparing for emerging European requirements, including the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), while connecting compliance with day-to-day logistics operations. Its approach combines logistics orchestration and Digital Product Passports within the same operational environment.
The company participates in NVIDIA Inception, the CIRPASS-2 Community of Practice and the W3C CE-DPP Community Group, while its platform uses GS1 standards.
By joining ALICE and participating in TG3, TG4 and Policy Monitoring activities, Next Horizon brings practical experience in connecting supply chain systems, item-level traceability and Digital Product Passports, contributing to collaboration around more interoperable, transparent and data-driven European supply chains.
