Carboninsets joins ALICE to support credible solutions for transport decarbonisation
Thursday, January 15th, 2026
ALICE is pleased to welcome Carboninsets as a new member, reinforcing its work on credible and scalable solutions to address transport-related Scope 3 emissions.
Carboninsets is a leading independent matchmaker service for high-quality Environmental Attribute Certificates (EACs), enabling companies to connect directly with fuel suppliers and carriers to reduce emissions associated with transport activities. Through a transparent marketplace, the service provides access to a broad range of emission savings claims covering all transport modalities, including air, ocean, inland waterways, rail and road.
The Carboninsets service spans a wide portfolio of decarbonisation technologies, including biodiesel, HVO, SAF, bio-LNG, electrification, hydrogen, bio-methanol and wind propulsion. To ensure the highest integrity of EACs, Carboninsets works in partnership with 123Carbon, a multimodal book and claim registry.
All certificates are based on globally accepted book and claim methodologies, such as those developed by Smart Freight Centre and the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials and are assured by external partners to ensure alignment with standards including ISO 14065, ISO 14083 and ISO 17029.
By joining ALICE, Carboninsets aims to share its knowledge and expertise in the rapidly evolving supply chain landscape and collaborate with European logistics stakeholders to advance trusted and practical solutions for reducing transport emissions.
