[MACBETH Validation Workshop] Stakeholder interviews on MCS deployment

Wednesday, December 24th, 2025

The MACBETH project invites you to a high-impact stakeholder workshop focused on discussing the results of more than 60 interviews with key stakeholders across the logistics, vehicle manufacturer, energy, infrastructure and policy ecosystem. The aim was to understand current challenges, needs and expectations related to the deployment and use of Megawatt Charging Systems (MCS) for heavy-duty vehicles.

This online workshop will bring together interview participants to:

  • Share anonymised, aggregated findings from the interview campaign, grouped by stakeholder cluster.
  • Validate and refine the identified needs, requirements and use cases for MCS from a user perspective.
  • Discuss open gaps, priorities and critical conditions for successful MCS deployment at depots, logistics sites and along corridors.

What’s in it for you?

During the workshop, you will:

  • Get an overview of how other actors (LSPs, shippers, retailers, logistics site owners, CPOs, OEMs) see key barriers and enablers for MCS.
  • See concrete examples from the interviews, including:
    • How users are actually operating battery-electric trucks today (routes, charging patterns, depot vs public)
    • How different stakeholders perceive the business case, TCO and investment risks for MCS
    • Expectations on site design, grid connections and the role of depots vs corridor hubs
    • Initial requirements for booking, digital integration and service quality at future MCS hubs
  • Benchmark your own views against the aggregated findings from over 60 interviews
