Cluster Mobility & Logistics joins ALICE to drive innovation in mobility, logistics, and smart industry

We are delighted to welcome Cluster Mobility & Logistics as a new member of ALICE. 

Based in Regensburg, Bavaria, the cluster serves as a leading technology network connecting companies, research institutes, and public authorities to accelerate innovation in mobility and logistics. By building cooperation platforms, matching partners, and supporting R&D initiatives, the cluster helps transform technological potential into impactful projects and scalable solutions. 

With an interdisciplinary community of over 100 members and 60 partners, Cluster Mobility & Logistics has initiated more than 100 innovation projects and attracts over 1,000 participants annually through its conferences, forums, and networking events. The cluster supports access to EU, federal, and Bavarian funding programmes, having mobilised over €50 million in project funding. It also holds the European Gold Label for Cluster Excellence, recognising its high-quality management and strategic impact. 

Its activities focus on key innovation fields such as smart and sustainable mobility, data and digital logistics, Industry 4.0 and IoT, vehicle and infrastructure technologies, and production and transport logistics. Through its living labs – EMIL and R_Lab Mobility – the cluster provides real-world environments for testing digital mobility and logistics applications. 

Among its highlight initiatives are: 

  • Drive2Transform (Interreg Central Europe, 2024-2026) – supporting SMEs in the transformation of the automotive industry, with Cluster Mobility & Logistics as lead partner. 
  • RECIPROCITY (Horizon 2020) – replicating innovative mobility concepts across rural, urban, and peri-urban areas. 
  • R_Lab Mobility (Regensburg, 2024-2026) – a living lab within REGENSBURG_NEXT, testing smart city and urban mobility solutions in real operations. 

Cluster Mobility & Logistics’ mission is to “get technology on the road” – creating added value through innovation, cross-sector collaboration, and international partnerships. As a member of ALICE, the cluster brings strong regional know-how and a proven capacity to link research, industry, and policy in support of Europe’s transition toward sustainable, digital, and low-carbon logistics systems.
