Ports are the backbone of the European economy, they have the ability to influence the whole transport chain and connect different forms of transport by linking maritime with rail, road and inland waterways. This important asset opens the door to Ports modernisation reflected as well in the EU Green Deal funding elements for supplying a clean, affordable and secure energy to any port; building and renovating port infrastructures in an energy and resource efficient way and finally supporting smart digital seamless solutions for the entire port community. In this context, four H2020 important initiatives- DockstheFuture, COREALIS, PortForward, PixelPorts – and an Interreg project – ResQU2, joined forces under the umbrella of the ALICE platform with the common goal to develop innovative technologies and tools while strengthening the cooperation among the Port community. The webinar will showcase the new technologies and opportunities for the initiatives’ common goal of shifting towards PortoftheFuture.
