Port of the Future (PoF): Needs and Requirements Survey

Monday, July 30th, 2018

COREALIS Project is a Horizon 2020 funded project realised by a strong consortium of leading European ports (including Piraeus, Antwerp, Valencia, Livorno and Haminakotka)  as well as research institutes, and leading transport, logistics and information technology stakeholders in Europe and associated countries.

It proposes a strategic, innovative framework for cargo ports to handle upcoming and future capacity, traffic, efficiency and environmental challenges. This is enabled by disruptive technologies, including IoT (Internet of Things), data analytics, next generation traffic management and emerging 5G networks.

COREALIS innovations will increase efficiency and optimize the port land use, while respecting circular economy principles and being of service to the urban environment.

The current survey is mainly  addressed to port stakeholders (port authorities and operators), logistics providers, service providers, city authorities, as well as academia/researchers. The aim of the survey, which takes only 15 minutes to complete, is to gather insight into the current challenges, enablers and barriers for ports as well as expectations that port stakeholders have and their impact areas of interest of the COREALIS’ innovations. The survey will contribute to the ALICE strategic roadmap.
